It is amazing when you look back and see where you started and where you are at now. My personal journey has been long, and truly by faith. When I started designing at the age of 12, I remember spending hours everyday using Corel Printhouse and Corel Draw to create everything from Business Cards, Flyers, and Obituaries. However, entering as a freshman at Louisiana State University, I decided to major in Kinesiology (The Study of Human Movement). My goal was to become a Physical Therapist (PT) and a Athletic Trainer. During that time, I still created outstanding presentations for class, and MS Power Point presentation that included media. From 1999-2003 MS Power Point was still relatively new! I even worked with Tiger TV as a field reporter, and worked at the LSU art gallery. It was not until 2003 that I realized my passion could be my major, and eventually my own business. So, I transferred to the University of New Orleans, and changed my major to Communications with a focus in Media Graphics. However, all of my jobs since graduation was either in sales, customer service, or even management. However, I realize now that I gained excellent marketing experience, and the ability to build customer relationships. In 2005, I became pregnant with my handsome son, who is now 5 years old. During my pregnancy I decided to return to school, and in 2011 I finished with a Master of Science in Education, Media Design, and Technology. In 2013 I will have a Master of Business Administration. So even though the student loan debt incurred is totally outstanding, and the fact that I still work a full time job, as well as, raise my son as a single parent. I am able to say that my journey has led me to success in finally seeing the fruits reap from my passion. I have two successful contracts as a marketing design consultant. And have a portfolio that spand over 7 years of design work! This is awesome that the gifts God has given me, is being used to help others promote their businesses! And the best part is that, I'm only really just beginning! www.jondiconsult.com

So recently one of my favorite clients called me up to discuss a brand new idea. With excitement in her voice she boasted, " I want to do something no one in my industry is doing!" So after telling me her idea, I knew that this was going to be an epic event. Her idea involved producing a web series that centered around her business. The key to marketing and being successful is to think outside of the box. We can easily look at the world around us and gain new ideas, new visions, and concepts to apply in our own business venture. Most people are overly concerned in gaining a profit, but not necessarily engaged on how to engage others to spend their hard earned dollars! This is a big world we live in, and respectfully media reaches the masses. Media Marketing, or what I like to call "Multimedia Marketing" or "21st century Marketing" is the wave of now and the future. With all of that being said, it is also important to continue you education. I recently found out about taking free online classes, from some very respectable teachers at highly ranked notable schools! I cannot wait, I am scheduled to take my first class on Aug 27, 2012! Thanks to Coursera! I will be taking a course in Gamification taught by Kevin Werbach, University of Pennsylvania.

Numbers 18:29 29 Out of all the gifts to you, you shall present every contribution due to the Lord; from each its best part is to be dedicated.’
Designing is a gift, a gift from God. I realized I had this particular gift at 12. However, it was simply a hobbie. It was not until age 20 that I had found out I was wasting time majoring in Kinesiology at Louisiana State University, the University of New Orleans lured me in with their Bachelor of Arts program in Drama and Communications. So in 2003, I left LSU and started my journey into my gift. After completing my degree at UNO, I dibbled into various industries where marketing was my main duty. I prayed every week for a MAC with Adobe photoshop. I new that this software would only enhance my gift. It was not until 2011 that Full Sail University sent me an invitation to study in one of their many design programs. I chose to pursue my Master of Science in Education, Media Design, and Technology. And guess what? My tuition included sending me Macbook pro, with Adobe CS4 and plenty other' softerware programs, as well as a HD camcorder. Yes, God answers prayers and he knows our hearts desires. It was he that guided me to my passion. He is equipping me with all that will enhance my gifts, which ultimately will help me to empower others and to make their passions come to life. So trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto your own understanding. For Jehovah was God, is God, and will be God. That is why I glorify him through my gift of design .
